The National Scientific and Innovation Olympiad (OTIO), aimed at high school students, was announced for the 35th time this autumn by the Hungarian Association for Innovation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, the State Secretariat for Public Education of the Ministry of Interior, and the National Innovation Agency. The event was also supported by the CiRCLETECH project.
A total of 26 teams participated in this national talent search and innovation competition. The regional round served as the first stage, offering teams a chance to qualify for the national finals, which will be held in Budapest in the spring of 2026.
The competition and evaluation took place in three sections:
Mechanical, Electrical, and Technical Section

🥉 3rd place – Vince Vascsák and András Bódi-Máté
Medical, Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Protection Section

🥈 2nd place – Lujza Gyurján and Maja Töttös
🥉 3rd place – Botond Balázs Nyerki
Informatics, Mathematics, and Physics Section
🥇 1st place – Gergő Bányai and Bence Molnár
🥈 2nd place – Dávid Róbert Vass and Miklós Milán Tóth
🥉 3rd place – András Tóth and Magor Füvesi
The CiRCLETECH Special Prize was awarded to Benedek Sánta.
