The city of Miskolc has been “added to the star map of the space industry,” in connection with the 25th anniversary of local aerospace-related company Admatis Kft., whose satellites are now orbiting Earth.
The founders believed that although the space industry and space research are full of challenges, they also offer strong long-term perspectives,” recalled Tamás Bárczy, Managing Director of Admatis Ltd. “My father, Pál Bárczy, the originator of the idea, initially drew inspiration from foreign space industry companies, and together with the other founders, they worked hard to develop their expertise. Today, they have created real value both in Miskolc and in Hungary.”
Among those contributing from the academic side is Prof. Dr. György Czél, a member of the CIRCLETECH research group at the University of Miskolc, underscoring the growing cooperation between research institutions and industry in the region.
This milestone marks another step forward for Miskolc’s role in Hungary’s expanding space and high-tech sector, highlighting the city’s ambition to bridge academic excellence with industrial innovation.
