CiRCLETECH Researchers Among Regional Awardees of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences

Two of our young researchers, Dr. Zsófia Forgács and Adrienn Takácsné Papp (University of Miskolc), have received scientific awards from the Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Miskolc (MTA MAB) during the Academy’s 200th anniversary celebration.

The Miskolc Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA MAB) held its jubilee scientific opening ceremony on 5 November 2025, marking two centuries since Count István Széchenyi offered one year’s income from his estates to establish the Hungarian Society of Scientists — today known as the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA).

The festive session began with a welcome address and lecture by Károly Kocsis, President of MTA MAB, titled “The Past and Present of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Upper Hungary.” The program continued with several scientific presentations, followed by the award ceremony recognizing outstanding researchers.

The Scientific Awards were granted to young scholars under 40 who hold a PhD degree and conduct their research activities in the region. Among the awardees were two members of the CiRCLETECH research team:

Dr. Zsófia Forgács received the MAB–ME Scientific Award, based on the nomination of the Mechanical and Information Sciences Subcommittee.

Adrienn Takácsné Papp was honored with the MAB–István Szentpáli Scientific Award, based on the nomination of the Economics Subcommittee.

🎉 Congratulations to our colleagues on this well-deserved recognition!
