A new scientific article on fish scales recycling published. Fish scales are a waste byproduct of the food and catering industry in Hungary, despite containing valuable compounds like collagen, hydroxyapatite, and gelatine. Landfilling them wastes renewable raw materials. As a bio-based resource, fish scales can be converted into commercially valuable materials.
